Dan O'Connor

Dan O'Connor is Viewpoint Consulting's associate responsible for managing every facet of the firm's advisory board meetings, from site selection to member recruitment. Dan has more than two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, the last 12 years in managed care. Based on his extensive peer relationships, he is able to identify the key clinicians and managers within the managed markets.

Dan began his career at Boehringer Ingelheim, where he worked first as a field representative and manager, and then as a contracting manager, responsible for negotiating contracts with all the major managed care organizations. Dan was then promoted to become the first national manager of federal and managed healthcare at Boehringer Ingelheim. In this role, he developed a contracting template for the company and negotiated with various customer segments.

Dan served as general manager at Scriptek, Inc., a prescription pad service company, where he was formerly vice president of sales and marketing. He later formed Medi-Print, a prescription pad service directed at the managed care sector. At the Klemtner Division of Saatchi and Saatchi, a large pharmaceutical advertising agency, Dan was responsible for market research projects and the facilitation of managed care meetings.

Dan holds a BA in history from St. Michael's College and an MBA from Marymount University.
